ACCESSIBILITY

In 2005, the Ontario government passed the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The act is the first of its kind in Canada implementing mandatory accessibility standards and it applies to both private and public sector businesses and organizations. This includes places of worship and organizations with as few as one employee.
Most recently the “Customer Service Standards of the AODA” have become law. It is mandatory for all organizations and businesses to comply with these standards. One aspect of these expectations is to train all employees and volunteers on the Customer Service Standards.
Christian Horizons is pleased to make available to you the training your staff and volunteers need in order to meet the requirements of these standards. Simply direct your staff and volunteers to the link below to work through this short training on the Customer Service Standards of the AODA.
