Our Organization
Christian Horizons is a non-profit evangelical Christian organization that works to enhance the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities in Ontario. We care for the whole person: emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually. Our services are funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Community and Social Services and Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Christian Horizons also has ministries funded by donations from businesses, churches, families and other supporters.

Meet our Executive Director | Central East District


Shawn Eddison has devoted his entire career to improving the quality of live for individuals with developmental disabilities. He has worked with Christian Horizons for nearly 20 years and has held a variety of roles from front-line support worker to management.

He has been Executive Director since 2007 and oversees a team of more than 300 caring support staff. Shawn is a graduate of the Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in Peterborough, Ontario where he earned a degree in theology. He lives in Millbrook, Ontario with his wife, Sandra, and three teenage children.
