Our Organization
Christian Horizons is a non-profit evangelical Christian organization that works to enhance the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities in Ontario. We care for the whole person: emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually. Our services are funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Community and Social Services and Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Christian Horizons also has ministries funded by donations from businesses, churches, families and other supporters.

Meet our Executive Director | North District


Doug Sewell has worked for Christian Horizons for nearly 30 years, beginning as a front line support worker and progressing through management to assume the position of Executive Director. He is a graduate of George Brown College in Toronto and has completed continuing education through the University of Waterloo.

He has been married for 37 years and has four children and five grandchildren. He loves to support the development of individuals with developmental disabilities  – and our staff – encouraging them to become all that they can be.
