Our Organization
Christian Horizons is a non-profit evangelical Christian organization that works to enhance the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities in Ontario. We care for the whole person: emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually. Our services are funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Community and Social Services and Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Christian Horizons also has ministries funded by donations from businesses, churches, families and other supporters.

Meet our Executive Director | South District


Anita Bacon has devoted her career to improving the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. She has worked with Christian Horizons for the past four years, beginning as an Area Manager; she assumed the role of Executive Director in 2008. Prior to that, she had a 22-year career with Crest Support Services in Lucan, Ontario where she was responsible for mental health and Community Living services for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Anita has a degree in sociology from the University of Western Ontario and strives to use her education and vast experience to continuously seek new and better ways to enhance the lives of the people we serve.
