Christian Horizons Family Retreat
Christian Horizons, in association with Joni and Friends and Elim Lodge,
is excited to offer our 2nd Canadian Family Retreat August 27 – August 31, 2012.
For almost 20 years, Joni and Friends have conducted Family Retreats around the world. These retreats are an opportunity for families, which include a person with a disability, to come together, in a camp setting, and have a time of refreshment and fun.
At the Family Retreat, persons with a disability and their families receive encouragement and care in the comfort of a safe and accessible family camp environment.
Enjoy fully-accessible and age-appropriate fun activities, be nourished by hearty home-style meals, and glean from meaningful conversations from a network of families who understand the challenges of life with disability.
There are many ways you can join in the fun: by registering your family for the Retreat, volunteering as a Short-term Missionary to support families during the Retreat or by donating items for activities throughout the week. Join with us!
