If you make the trip into the northern First Nations communities of Ontario, you will not find sprawling suburbs with mini-malls and downtown fashions - what you will see are images that reflect life more similar to that of a developing nation. Welcome to the land of the Tikinagan.

In August of 2006, a CH team led by Catherine Raby spent a week in the Tikinagan area commencing our first camping program for First Nations children with special needs. These early stages of our involvement are proving fruitful and future programs are to be developed. Stay tuned for more information on this trip as well as disability issues of concern within the First Nations communities of our province.
