Accountability
The Chief Executive Officer acts as a resource to the Board and its committees and is responsible to the Board for the implementation of programs and policies to achieve the objectives of Christian Horizons.
The Board of Christian Horizons monitors and evaluates the overall agency functions. Board members are elected by the general members of Christian Horizons. Its primary function is to ensure that our services are delivered to individuals and families with exceptional needs in a manner that is consistent with our mission and values.
The Board meets regularly with members of our Senior Leadership Team to ensure that they are adequately informed concerning current operations, activities and challenges facing the organization. The Board seeks to anticipate challenges, review direction, evaluate decisions and encourage change, if necessary. The Board also strives to ensure that adequate planning is in place for the future. In so doing, the Board is actively involved in the performance evaluation process including self evaluation and evaluation of all aspects of service under its jurisdiction.
