• Developmental Services
  As an agency, Christian Horizons is committed to providing supports that are person-centered. We help people to define and pursue their own dreams and goals, to experience inclusion and relationships, to enjoy meaningful activities, to exercise self-determination, and to pursue personal growth. We strive to keep the person with a disability and family, friends, and/or advocates at the centre of planning and decision-making for that person.
  • Assist in meeting mental health, behavioural, and medical needs.
  • Assist individuals in identifying and using their strengths and resources.
  • Maintain or develop strategies to enhance quality of life (life skills, self-care, employment, community life, and spiritual life).
  • Promote community involvement and the use of community resources.
  • Promote recreation and leisure/fitness opportunities.
  • Are outcome-oriented, evaluated and responsive.

• Global Services
  Christian Horizons is working in seven global locations with other organizations that support children and adults with disabilities. Our efforts are concentrated in creating opportunities that promote dignity, human rights and inclusion.

  Some of our primary projects globally our public awareness programs, establishing camping programs, providing special needs teacher training, special needs school construction projects, and church/pastoral preparatory education programs to meet the needs of the disabled in their communities.

• Clinical, Research, Education
  The Christian Horizons Clinical, Research and Education department offers consultation, clinical supports, research services and educational & training opportunities to individuals and organizations in Ontario and around the world.

  We offer comprehensive Direct Services throughout 6 Ontario districts. We also actively engage in consultative services outside our agency; whether you are a local organization or working internationally, our dedicated staff has the expertise to help you reach your potential.

• For Churches
  Inclusion methods and pastoral/congregational education is a primary focus of our work with churches. Christian Horizons is able to provide a range of resource materials to help churches of varying sizes and denominations embrace persons with disabilities in their communities.

  Our Church services include providing speakers to present at your church.
