Volunteering is such an important component to bringing our communities together and helping to meet the needs of individuals with exceptional needs. Building partnerships with community members such as yourself is part of the mission of Christian Horizons. It is one of the most significant ways in which to accomplish our goal of improving the quality of life for the individuals we serve.
When you share your time and your gifts with others, you’ll find that they have a lot to share with you! There are many ways you can use your personality and talents to build relationships with individuals with exceptional needs:
Volunteer in a Community Near You
• Provide entertainment through music, comedy or drama
• Offer your skills as a plumber, seamstress, landscaper or beautician
• Share your interests: play games, go for walks, go shopping
• Organize Special Olympics or sporting events
• Spiritual nourishment
• Become a house buddy to an individual
• Do your student placement with us
• Group activities
