Ride for Refuge 2017

Ride for Refuge 2017

What is the Ride for Refuge?

For the past three years, Christian Horizons has participated in the nation-wide fundraising campaign called the Ride for Refuge. It is a super-fun, family-friendly fundraiser supporting charities like ours who provide refuge and hope for displaced, vulnerable and exploited people everywhere. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate once again this September 30, 2017.

Why Do We Ride?

Serve Others | Nurture Relationships | Foster Belonging

Why ride? This year we are riding to make a difference in the lives of thousands of people living with disabilities across Canada and around the world. We are riding to raise $80,000 to support Christian Horizons’ donor-funded programs globally (like inclusive education) and locally (like special projects in our community) that are not funded by government support.

Why ride? This year we are riding because at Christian Horizons, we love events that invite everyone to belong. We value and respect the God-given gifts of all people – people who are supported by our programs, their families and our employees who work with them, regardless of physical ability. We are riding to build communities of belonging.

If 400 participants each raise the national average ($275/person) then we will raise $110,000!
