Thank you for last year

Thank you for helping raise over $90,000 through the RIDE for Refuge. These funds help us help children of all abilities go to school. Each district also raised funds to support different local projects. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This year, we're hoping to raise funds to help even more people. But we can't do this alone. Will you join us once again? We’re planning on having a ton of fun together celebrating and supporting Christian Horizons.

The Ride for Refuge fundraiser will look different this year. Even with COVID-19 affecting all our lives, we still want to come together and support and care for our community in creative ways that bring joy and belonging in these challenging days.

So, this year, our teams across Canada will be participating in the Ride for Refuge Freestyle, an exciting, family-friendly fundraiser for everyone. Register your team, gather your friends and select a fundraising activity you all love. You can still select the classic 5 km walk, or the 10, 25, or 50 km bike ride. There are also many fun and rewarding freestyle options such as knitting, painting and hiking to name a few to support your fundraising this year. Do what you can, wherever you can #nobikesrequired

We will RIDE Freestyle because we want to help people who experience disabilities participate in activities that they wouldn’t otherwise get to experience, such as Family Camps, Weekend Retreats and other special events. As well, funds will go to help kids of all abilities in developing countries be part of inclusive education.

Where does the money go?

All funds raised will go to projects in communities where we work in Ontario and Saskatchewan (like Family Camps, Weekend Retreats and other special events). As well, they will be used to help kids of all abilities in developing countries be part of inclusive classrooms.
